"City Lights" Remix, A Snapshot of the BLOWOFF Party "Soundtrack"
The hosts and DJs for the wildly successful BLOWOFF parties are both musicians you know. Bob Mould is practically an alt-rock god, now solo, but formerly the lead-singer of punk bank Husker Du. Richard Morel is a respected producer and remixer (he co-wrote and co-produced four songs on the last Cyndi Lauper album) and a solo artist in his own right, releasing the dark electronic masterpiece, "The Death Of The Paper Boy" earlier this year. The two have collaborated in the past, on their "BLOWOFF" CD, released in 2006. Once again they've teamed up in the studio, this time to remix the "City Lights (Days Go By)" single from Bob Mould's current album, "Life And Times" (ANTI-/Epitaph). For those who've never been to a BLOWOFF party, "City Lights" exemplifies the duo's calling card alt/rock/electronic sound that has made their parties so popular.
