July 19, New York City – The UK's finest disco operators, Jim Stanton, Luke Howard (aka Filthy Luka), James Hillard and Severino, beloved for their legendary gay London party, Horse Meat Disco,
return with another killer album. Packed with a disco trainspotters wet dream of tried and tested underground disco,
Italo and rarities (Cyclades "Fire To Desire," Kasso "Walkman," El Coco "Afrodesia" Stephanie Mills "You Can Get Over," Horse Meat Disco 2 is out August 17.
The CD is mixed by Horse Meat Disco DJs with the unmixed tracks available to download. Also available as unmixed 2LP set and digital. The package features a selection of photos taken at Horse Meat's events worldwide during this year, exclusive sleeve notes by journalist Paul Flynn and select quotes from some of the A-list DJs that guest regularly at the club.
A US/Canada tour is being confirmed as you read this. Luke and Severino jet over for an early NYC date (August 14, Santos Party House, NYC), followed by a proper tour in the Fall (Sep 24 - Oct 9), which includes Toronto, Calgary, San Francisco, Portland, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and NYC (again!). Exact DJ line-up TBA.
Horse Meat Disco 2 is out August 17 and available via major line retailers like iTunes and Amazon (which also has the CD, vinyl) at at select music shops across the US like Rebel Rebel in NYC and Medium Rare Records in San Francisco.
