BOB MOULD and RICHARD MOREL's BLOWOFF–named after the deciding fight in a pro wrestling match–is a DJ event that has become a premier destination for a wide cross-section of appreciative music fans. BLOWOFF, began in 2006, is now an established several times yearly event in DC, New York, San Francisco, Provincetown, Chicago, San Diego and Dallas.

Hosted and tag-team DJed by esteemed indie rocker Bob Mould and renowned singer/songwriter/producer and remixer Richard Morel, the BLOWOFF dance parties attract a wide cross-section of mostly men (women welcome!). On any given BLOWOFF dancefloor one will find a healthy mix of types, from music-loving hipsters, to beer-drinking men's men, to dance music enthusiasts, leather daddies and muscle men like those featured in Blowoff's signature artwork, by Baltimore-based artist Linas Garsys.

Richard Morel
Multi-talented producer, singer/songwriter and DJ Rich Morel. Renowned for his signature, deep and progressive, electronic dance-rock sound, Morel has become an in-demand singer/songwriter, producer and remixer crafting records for an impressive list of artists including Cyndi Lauper, Pet Shop Boys, Frank Musik, New Order, Depeche Mode, Yoko Ono, La Roux, The Killers and Lily Allen. Morel has scored over 20 #1 remix singles on the Billboard Club Play chart to date. Rich Morel's collaboration with Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Deathfix, released their debut, self-titled album, Deathfix, in early 2013. In addition to Blowoff Morel has started Hot Sauce–a party that includes live performances by artists on his Outsider Music label in addition to Morel's DJ set. Morel released his third solo album as Morel, “The Death Of The Paper Boy,” in 2008.

Bob Mould
Formerly of Husker Du and Sugar, now solo, Bob Mould released his latest album, Silver Age in Fall 2012, his autobiography See a Little Light: The Trail of Rage and Melody in 2011, and recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and the legendary PBS series Austin City Limits.
