It Gets Better When? Now Says Queer Culture Commentator Cheeks
Offering a flip to the fluffy fun of his Twitter series "Daily Doses" and new single, "They Call Me Cheeks," comes this insightful hello of a contribution to Dan Savage's "It Gets Better Project." It's all about perspective–and awareness–says Cheeks, who earlier this year took on Prop 8 apathy in the gay community in his bullseye "Don't Be A Dick" commentary. Take a look, post and share!

Twink Power! Wink Pop! Cheeks Releases Third EP, Video
"They Call Me Cheeks"
Social Media Star, Queer Culture Satirist, Self-Proclaimed “Straight Antidote” Cheeks Keeps It Cute, 16,000 Followers (in Just Over a Year!) Love Him For It
October 26, 2010, New York City – When starry- eyed satirist Cheeks isn’t dropping his daily doses of wily witticisms, fluffy philosophy and toxic optimism to thousands of fans, the silly, sassy, sometimes shocking social media entertainer is making music.
Simultaneously released via iTunes on October 26 is Cheek’s third video, “They Call Me Cheeks,” and its accompanying EP, “T.C.M.C.” The release follows the “Glambition” EP, which reached #3 on iTunes Electronic music chart and featured the singles (and videos) “Down Low” and “Instant Gratification.”
"They Call Me Cheeks" is a colorful, early 90's electro hip hop, comedy tour de ditty -- full of sassy struts, playful choreography and even a wink to the camera – and features Chelsea Traille from "So You Think You Can Dance" and the upcoming "Burlesque." Cheeks productions, both the music and video are fun, upbeat, and offer something more than meets the eye. Says Cheeks, "Smiles are a powerful thing. They're contagious, they affect others. My goal is to get a smile. Laughs are even better. If people want to delve any deeper and look for substance, then that's there too."
Throughout 2010, Cheeks has continued to gain media attention and a fan following with no publicity or national exposure. Something he attributes to "the power of the people, the power of the message." He continues, "Celebration is the antidote to cynicism. The time has come, the people are ready." Through the support and dedication of fans, he has been able to maintain full time content and continue building a brand that promotes all inclusive fun. Cheeks stays connected to his audience through a short form comedy series called Daily Doses, uploaded daily to his YouTube channel. (youtube.com/gocheeksgo)
"They Call Me Cheeks" can also be heard in the web-series"Front Men," a comedy about three musicians and starring Cheeks, launching on CheeksTV.com Thanksgiving weekend.
